A chill crawls up my spine
As I wander alone tonight
Walking down this ill-lighted path
A cold feeling fills me

Something is behind me lurking
I start to sweat
My mind racing
As fear burrows itself in
My heart is pounding
I ponder what it could be

Irrationality is setting in
Unsettling thoughts creeping
Paranoia perhaps?
Why can't I shake the feeling
That something, someone
Is closing in on me

I start to run, frantically
As I plummet to the ground
Only to see
My shadow, this horror above me

I looked in those eyes
Saw blood lust
As it drags me further down the alley
The street lights are flickering

I scream for help,
But only echoes
Call back to me

I'm clawing at the bricks
Panicking and flailing
(Though it's no use)

This horror has
Pulled me to the roof tops
It's red eyes burning

I try to grab, anything
As I'm dragged up a wall
Only to see
My shadow, this horror above me

I looked in those eyes

As it pulls me closer to the roof tops
The moonlight seems haunting

A mouth forms
With a malicious grin
It's claws tapping against my chest
A sinister laugh
escapes it's lungs

A smirk upon it's face
